Cups
To create an illusion of “broken piece of water”, I combined plaster in the shape of the inside of a cup – imitating the solidified movement of water- with splashes of bright pink acrylic paint. This creates a visual impulse with a stark contrast in texture and colors. The arch floats on top the cups, as if it grows out of them, representing the concept of grafting.v

The final work gives me a mysterious feeling as that of space, in spite that my focus is on the fluidity of the plaster cups, and the contrast between liquid and solid.

just like my self portrait, I wasn’t so sure about adding that fluorescent pink, so I decided to film it first in case of a catastrophic result.
